Find data on Pacific health, education, wellbeing, and more. Read reports that contain data about Pacific people in NZ, Pacific data sovereignty, and other topics. We’ve also gathered a list of Pacific data experts and researchers to help give important context to data.

Pacific People's Wellbeing

Explores the key values, beliefs and practices that shape Pacific New Zealanders’ experience of wellbeing and provides information about how Pacific people in New Zealand are faring across a range of wellbeing domains.

Rainbow Population

Provides links to Rainbow  (LGBTIQ+) data from a range of sources including Census 2023; Household Economic Survey and NZ General Social Survey, Youth 19 (a large scale secondary school survey) and other surveys (including a survey of Pacific Rainbow people. 

Ethnic communities - Our Communities in the Data

Provides evidence on how Ethnic Communities are doing in New Zealand - in relation to key areas such as work and employment, health and wellbeing, housing, income etc. 

Place and Ethnic Group Summaries tool (Stats NZ)

Use this Statistics NZ tool to find data about New Zealand’s communities and ethnic groups. Topics include population, work, income, education, and housing (Census 2023 data).

Data summaries are available at national, regional, territorial authority  (e.g. Tauranga City, WBOP areas) and suburb level (e.g. Greerton, Ōmokoroa).
